Mast selection 2008 Everyone would probably agree that the most important part of any sailor’s equipment is a light, responsive and dependable mast. Such a mast makes windsurfing easier and the sailor has naturally more fun. Technofiber’s masts belong to the least expensive light masts in the world. Our masts are around 30% lighter than our competition’s – at the same price, or around 30% less expensive at the same weight. This is the main factor that separates our products from those of our competition and this applies across the entire palette of products. We
continue our 2008 program with our well-tried four mast categories – Free,
Wave, Race and Kidy. In most cases we offer 2 different masts for each
category – one for sailors who wish to own a solid, high-quality product at a
very reasonable price. The second type of mast is for customers who wish
to sail with the best they can get – i.e. high-end products. The
dividing line between the two categories is the carbon contents, extra
performance of the mast, low weight and of course the price.
All
of our masts are of high quality with excellent performance – since all of our
masts are made with identical technology and with the same care – regardless
of the price. EXTREME RDM - Reduced Diameter Mast
This is the new
generation of the well-tried RDM mast tested in the most adverse conditions.
Changes we have made have made the mast stronger and the curve we have
designed allows these masts to be used with any sail on the market. Excellent ratio of performance to price makes this light and tough mast
the flagship of our production.
More
carbon fiber and some modifications in geometry and more precise placement of
fibers have resulted in further improvement of this mast. The growing demands of sailors as well as further sail
developments correspond with our efforts at improving the performance
characteristics of this top mast. Test result confirm that our 2008 model is a
significant step forward in the right direction.
Race New
improved variety of this well established race mast. Greater performance means
less work with the rig, more speed, steeper curves, jibes, better trick
performance, faster starts and better sail dynamics. This is a high-performance mast which offers the sailor that
bit more in performance which helps him to plan his ride better and have
everything under control.
Race 75
Tsunami Wave Large
waves break the toughest masts. We
have designed here a very tough mast which, thanks to its 5 layers of triaxial
braid offers greater than usual resistance to breakage in waves. Thanks to technological changes we’ve made during 2007, our 2008
models are tougher yet and we can still proudly guarantee that if you break
this mast, we will replace it within 3 years of purchase. Despite the
quality-improvements for this coming season’s design, the mast remains light
and it is great fun to sail – at a very attractive price-performance ratio!
Fusion
This
mast represents the best that can be found in this mast category.
Tougher than the Race and lighter than the Tsunami Wave, this mast for
freeride sailing is also made with a triaxial – braid manufacturing method.
The mast is a 55% carbon and it remains a standard against which all
similar masts are to be measured – look at the weight, toughness and price
ratio! This is our workhorse and a sales hit since the inception of
Technofiber!
Laser
Our
new model of the “second” mast in the freeride category is again called
“Laser” for 2008. It is based on the last year’s model FREE 35 and
thanks to some OEM customers we have made some changes to the mast that
improve its performance yet further.
Laser
is ideal for an advanced beginner because it is a light, yet tough mast and
such a “tool” tends to improve the rider’s enjoyment more than anything
else.
Our mast is lighter than
most masts in this price category.
This
is one of our best sellers of all times!
C-20
This
is a basic, least expensive mast Technofiber manufactures – a mast with an
unbeatable performance-price ratio. C-20s
production technology is identical with technologies used in manufacturing our
high-end products and this has enabled us to achieve a high-quality and
toughness even in this lowest price category of carbon masts. Even though this is not a typical Technofiber high-end mast, you as a
customer will get an excellent value for your money.
KIDY

is a modified Laser mast which has been downsized for the kids.

RDM 65 High-end
Technofiber quality in kidy-mast category.
We have applied our experience and expertise gained in designing our RDM
masts to this kidy-mast and can thus offer a very high quality sailing tool for
